Trichome

Trichomes are tiny, mushroom-shaped resinous glands on the surface of cannabis flowers and leaves that produce and contain cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. They appear as a frosty, crystal-like coating visible to the naked eye. Trichome maturity (clear, cloudy, or amber) is used to determine optimal harvest time. Cannabis potency is directly correlated with trichome density and quality.
