About this course

Welcome to the Cannabis Connoisseur Training Program — Sativa University’s flagship professional curriculum. Across eighteen sequenced lessons you’ll learn to assess cannabis quality the way professionals do: by the plant’s biology, by sight, smell, and touch, and by the paperwork that proves what’s in the jar.

The program is organized into six modules:

• Foundations — the plant lifecycle and trichome literacy, your #1 quality tool
• Sensory Assessment — the eye test, and the smell and touch tests
• Product Category QC — pre-rolls, tinctures, edibles, concentrates, and vape cartridges
• Compliance & the Customer — reading a COA, and what customers actually care about
• Protecting Quality — the five enemies of cannabis quality and product-specific storage
• The Connoisseur’s Edge — the sommelier approach and full cannabis vocabulary fluency

Each lesson pairs a full slide deck with a written summary and key takeaways, and every deck is downloadable as a PDF for offline study. Video walkthroughs of each lesson are coming soon. Lessons unlock in order, and each one ends with a short knowledge check so you can confirm what you’ve learned before moving on. The program closes with a 70-question certification exam — 80% to pass, open notes, retakes allowed. Pass it and you’ll earn the Sativa University Cannabis Connoisseur Certificate.
