Talking to Your Doctor About Cannabis
A short course on having productive, honest conversations with clinicians about cannabis use.
About this course
Most clinicians received little or no formal training on cannabis. Even sympathetic doctors may feel they don’t know enough to advise you well. The result: a lot of patients either don’t bring up cannabis use at all, or bring it up and get a non-answer.
This short course is designed to help you change that. In four lessons you’ll learn:
- Why this conversation is harder than it should be — and what’s actually behind it
- What to bring to make the appointment maximally useful
- The drug interactions that genuinely matter and must be disclosed
- How to find a cannabis-knowledgeable clinician if your current one isn’t a good fit
You’ll leave able to have a productive conversation with any clinician — whether they end up endorsing cannabis for your situation or recommending against it.
