This is my go-to dispensary! I’ve been coming here for the past 2 years. The staff here are SO kind (and funny) and always up to answer any questions you have. They have amaaazing deals always going on, pretty much every day of the week has a different offer! They offer 30% off your first purchase and always have new brands coming in. Visit Mary Jane’s Collective and leave feeling a little brighter :)
This is a great little dispensary with a good selection of flower, cartridges along with other items and everyone there is really nice. Their prices are reasonable and whenever I'm in town I always stop by.
We stopped in while in LA and this place was among the best we've visited. Austin was super helpful and got us great deals! First timer discount as well as whatever daily specials were going on. We saved a crazy amount of money and got great stuff!
I’m so sad this shop is closing. We moved to the area around 2016 and have been patrons since then. The ownership changed hands and we do miss the original owners, but the new ones still maintained good products and service, and stayed in our neighborhood. I’m heartbroken to see the new-ish owners close this spot in order to move to a bigger place. End of an era.
After coming here for at least once a week for almost THREE years I finally feel like I can contribute a decent unbiased review, I also have three years of dispensary retail experience under my belt. My first visit here was on 12/30/20, most recent was today, 8/28/23. I can honestly say this one of the best dispensaries in the area. I have visited all of them around the Melrose Hill area and this one is always the first I pop into. There are a lot of things that this place does well. The check in process is quick and they have a large variety of brands and products. I am able to ask the staff any question and they answer it with ease and knowledge, and if they do not know they will ask a colleague or look it up, which I greatly appreciate. Vibe: The vibe inside here does feel a little "corporate-y" especially when comparing it to the vibe before the renovations. I am not sure if the shop changed owners but sometime last year the vibe inside changed dramatically and a lot of the aesthetic was lost. They used to play music, movies and had color. Now they got rid of most of the things and painted the walls a bland white. I was not a fan of this and it caused me to stop going for a few weeks. They do still play music tho. Now I have gotten used to the vibe they have currently but wish they brought back some elements which made this place fun. I do not want to take away from their efforts to decorate for holidays and the dispensaries' anniversary most recently, it's very cool. This is the place to shop at during 4/20! Pricing: This is my biggest issue with this place is the lack of out the door prices. Customers DO NOT want to see pre-tax pricing. It is confusing and impedes the buying process when I gotta ask what I will pay after taxes. I understand the thought process behind it, but still believe out the door prices is what is better for everyone. If you guys insist on keeping pre tax prices, then train your budtenders to quickly convert pricing when asked for OTD prices. There has been many instances where I ask and the budtender has to ring it up to tell me the final price which takes up time. I much rather know how much I will be paying from the beginning instead of having it be like a surprise when they tell me the total. Sales: They are daily sales offered here but only for certain brands, and they are usually the most expensive products in which the deals apply to. I have notice pricing here has gotten a tad bit more expensive when they switched to the pre-tax pricing (OTD pricing was displayed before the renovation mentioned above). There are days, like today, where I walk out of there empty handed because the cheapest 8th is $20-$25 OTD. Other days you can snag some amazing deals with $10 8ths or carts for super cheap, but these types of deals are not consistent. I will say they put in a lot of effort for their 4/20 deals. They are amazing at this and they are by far the best shop to be at during this sacred day. Budtenders: Everyone who works here knows their stuff. Having budtender experience myself I enjoy when they are friendly and suggest products. They are great at guiding me through the sale and offering information. They do not rush you no matter how busy they may be and they are always well staffed. I cannot recall an instance where I was waited for a prolonged period of time to be assisted. Rewards Program: Was a big fan of the rewards program here. If I saved them for like a month I would get like $5 off at times. I was informed recently that the program changed to an alternative program but they didn't explain it. I do not know if this new program will be better/worse. It's a shame because they cannot tell us when the new program will take effect but at the same time they do not have an existing one, so no one is racking up points. I highly suggest you do not shop here until they bring back the rewards program. Overall I believe if you come to Mary Janes you will leave happy, but there are a few things that I feel can be improved.
