I chose to take my 1985 Ford F250 4x4 diesel truck to West Coast Diesels after asking around & a couple mechanics felt that West Coast Diesels was the best diesel truck mechanic shop in town. Boy, were they right! I initially had a long list of repairs that I started out with, my priority being to install a Banks Sidewinder Turbo system in my truck. They worked with me every step of the way. The mechanic did a full & very thorough inspection of my truck, explaining every issue & answered all of my questions. I got more than I could ever anticipate from their excellent workmanship. Basically, I drove away with a rebuilt & overhauled 1985 Ford F250 XLT 4x4 diesel turbo truck! Now, it flys up Crane Canyon hill. I’m really looking forward to see how it tows & hauls my horse trailer up that grade, (now that it has turbo!). I highly recommend choosing West Coast Diesels for all of your diesel truck service & repairs.

Outstanding service on a tricky electrical issue - Highly recommend! I recently brought my 1995 Ford E-350 short school bus to West Coast Diesel for a frustrating problem: the overdrive (OD) light was flashing intermittently, indicating a transmission-related fault. As anyone with an older Ford knows, a flashing OD light often points to an electrical or sensor issue that’s notoriously hard to diagnose and fix. The team at West Coast Diesel went above and beyond. They took the bus in multiple times (three visits in total) to thoroughly troubleshoot the problem, never giving up even though it was an elusive electrical gremlin that didn’t show up consistently. They made my repair their top priority, squeezing me in quickly each time and keeping me updated every step of the way with clear, honest communication. Everyone I dealt with was extremely professional, friendly, and patient – explaining what they were checking, why certain tests were needed, and what the potential causes could be without any upsell pressure. If you have a diesel vehicle – especially an older Ford or something unique like a converted school bus like me (which is especially hard to find a shop to work on my vehicle) – this is the shop to trust. I use West Coast Diesels every other oil change / lube service to keep my 99 f250 rolling correct. I have two cars that I take in for service outside of my home, and it seems like West Coast is among the few shops that still has a long list of things they check; an actual maintenance inspection! Eyes on those items keeps me ahead of a breakdown and on top of any issues to watch for. As a mechanic I do some of the suggested work myself, but I’ve been very happy with the down pipes and transmission rebuild they performed. On time and quality work, with no follow up or recheck needed.
