Gnome Grown - Alberta

I visit Gnome Grown every time I’m in Portland. It’s close by, the staff is cool, the prices are great… it’s my go to spot in town. My most recent visit I was helped by Keeni, and it was probably my favorite experience with a budtender anywhere. Super chill, kind, knowledgeable, patient, helpful… just the best. I had flown twice that day, was tired & stressed… but walked out happy, and with exactly what I needed. Thanks, Gnomey homies.

If you read my other reviews, you know I'm a fan of good dispensaries. I had been to the Oregon City location when I lived in the area. Now that I'm here, this location has quickly become my favorite. The selection is great, prices are fair, and people seem to enjoy working here. That's all I really want from a spot. Alex helped me out today and was a ray of sunshine on a rainy day. Stop by, they'll all help you find what you're looking for.

My wife loves gnomes so she just had to go to this place. Turns out they're really cool and have good specials. One of the employees recently had a baby and I like to ask him about about being a new parent while my wife is deciding what to buy. I like that vibe, like you're amongst friends. I usually have great experiences at this dispensary. The products are good, the atmosphere is welcoming, and most of the staff are awesome. It’s my favorite place in the neighborhood by a mile. Unfortunately, my recent visit was awful. I had a terrible interaction with an employee named Melissa, and it felt super unprofessional. She was rude, visibly out of sorts, and acted like she really didn’t want to be there. Something just seemed off, and her attitude made the whole experience uncomfortable. It honestly felt like pulling teeth to get even basic assistance. Common courtesy goes a long way, especially in customer-facing roles. This won’t stop me from coming back, because the business and products themselves are fantastic, but I hope management checks in with their staff. One bad interaction can really throw off an otherwise great shop.

I’ve been going to Gnome Grown since they opened in my neighborhood back in 2020, and it quickly became one of my favorite shops in Portland. The vibe has always been warm, welcoming, and surprisingly sophisticated for a dispensary. You can feel the care they put into creating a comfortable environment for every type of customer. Since joining the industry myself, I’ve visited plenty of shops around the city, and I can confidently say Gnome Grown continues to stand out. Over the past year especially, their inventory has leveled up in a huge way. They consistently carry some of the best farms in Oregon and offer quality options at every price point. Mel, their inventory and floor manager, is a huge part of what makes this shop special. They’re incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, and it shows in every conversation they have with customers, and when I've seen them interact with new budtenders. The team is patient, approachable, and education-focused, there’s truly never a stupid question here. Whether you’re a new consumer or a seasoned one, they’ll help you find something you’ll love. The flower and concentrate selection is top notch, and the rosin options in their concentrate fridge this past year have been next-level. On top of that, their daily deals are genuinely worth taking advantage of - 30% off top shelf on Tuesdays and the Saturday concentrate/cart deals are my personal favorites. If you care about both quality and price, this is the place to go. Gnome Grown is the kind of shop that keeps you coming back because you know you’re getting great product, great service, and a genuinely positive experience every time.
