La Mota - Hollywood

I have been to this store many times and find things quite upsetting. I think there are dangerous business practices at this store. Customers come walking right in with no security anywhere. I know they have been robbed many times which shows me a lack of care for employees, as well as customers. You had the best, friendliest, most knowledgeable staff/manager Maegan, who I see is now no longer there and I am guessing it is due to working conditions. What a great loss on their part. In my opinion and observation I can tell the owners only care about the money making part of the business and it shows in the way employees/staff is treated even in customers presence and lack of safety for customers with no security, locked doors, check in process. After recent robberies and no attempts made to address these issues I have decided to no longer bring my business there to La Mota and go elsewhere where customers are going to be put first, considering it is us that keep you in business. Thank you for your time.

After learning that this place has been robbed at gunpoint several times and having gone in to find ONE person working every time I brought my mom to buy products… I’ve realized they don’t care about customer or staff safety. The lack of security measures or changes clearly demonstrate that they are just about profit. The staff here are great, but the owners need to get it together!

I was nervous about getting back into cannabis, as I have stopped a couple years ago but I felt so at home when walking into this store. I was helped by Maegan and she was so nice and helped me figure out how to ease back into it. I would definitely recommend coming here for the good vibes, friendly service and prices!

I have a couple of issues with my recent visit here: first, while they do offer $2 grams which is nice, I was told a specific brand of low-end edibles rang up as twice as much as every other dispensary on Sandy that has them- Literally $12 versus $6 at EVERY other dispensary I’ve seen it at. Also, for those of us exercising caution, it is absolutely clear that whoever is in charge here does not enforce any sort of mask wearing including when helping customers. The person who helped me was not wearing her mask correctly as it was all the way under her nose, and the only other person I saw there barely put their mask on before coming out to help another customer. I know lots of us are tired of the mandates and mask wearing, but there are still some of us trying to exercise caution due to immune-compromised family members and what not and it was obvious they just do not care at La Mota. The customer service was fine, but not amazing enough to warrant going back.

Great selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff. My only qualm is how understocked the store feels compared to the size of the space. Under stable how everything needs to be kept locked safely, I just felt it was too huddled together. I would definitely go back or make this my go to shop if i lived in the area. They have amazing prices, and daily deals on top of that. No medical Necessary, just walk in with a valid ID from a legal state and you’re set.
