A Retail License is akin to a Hemp Handler License.

However, you will need to work with your local health authority for further comment — depending on what types of hemp-derived products you wish to sell.

Currently, there is not a Food License for hemp-derived products. However, you must consult with your local health authority

Where Can You Legally Consume Cannabis in Nevada?

You may consume recreational or medical marijuana in the privacy of a residence. Consuming cannabis in public is deemed illegal.

Driving Under the Influence

Nevada considers a cannabis-based DUI as a serious crime. There is a zero-tolerance law in Nevada regarding driving under the influence of cannabis.

Can You Transport Marijuana in Nevada?

Yes, as long as you are carrying the legal limit for your status (recreational or medical). If you are a commercial cannabis entity or work for a cannabis business, then you are also allowed to transport marijuana in Nevada.

Currently, it’s illegal to export marijuana over state lines, and Nevada law makes it very clear that it’s illegal to export marijuana from Nevada.

Yes, you must have a Registered Agent Card to work for a cannabis-based business in Nevada.

How Much Tax Does Nevada Collect?

The state of Nevada collects a 15% excise tax on wholesale transactions. It also collects a 10% excise tax on all retail sales.
