As a customer new to vaping, this is where I made my first purchase. I’m fairly sure the employee was actually the owner, but either way he was so dope 💯 I had beaucoup questions, concerns things I needed clarified….. and he was patient, friendly, informed, helpful….really cool dude. He definitely secured a loyal customer that day👌🏽❣️ Great people, reasonable prices, and on top of that the location is convenient (for me), maybe a 2-3 min ride. Definitely check’em out if you haven’t!!!

I am absolutely outraged and deeply disappointed with this business. My 15-year-old nephew was able to walk into this vape shop and illegally purchase a nicotine vapor using my debit card. He told us he was going to Cricket Wireless next door to buy a phone charger and case — but instead, he went into Hot Box Smoke and walked out with a vapor product, no questions asked, no ID checked, nothing. When my husband and I confronted the employee — a middle-aged man behind the counter — he lied to our faces, claiming no sale ever happened, even though we had proof of the transaction. My nephew said the man took the receipt and hid it behind the counter, the same spot where he pulled the vape from. Two other men tried to cover for him, saying it was a “misunderstanding” and that the man “doesn’t speak English well.” That’s not a misunderstanding — that’s an excuse for illegal behavior. Selling nicotine to a minor is a crime in Louisiana. There’s no language barrier when it comes to following the law. What makes this even more disgusting is that my nephew has sickle cell anemia and asthma — serious medical conditions that make smoking or vaping extremely dangerous. He was born in 2010 — a child, not even old enough to drive, let alone buy anything that contains nicotine. This situation is beyond unacceptable — it’s reckless, unethical, and criminal. The employees at this location clearly knew what they were doing, and they tried to cover it up instead of taking responsibility. This store needs to be investigated immediately by the Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control. Parents, beware — this business is selling nicotine products to minors and then lying about it. If they’re willing to sell to a child with no ID, imagine what else they’re willing to do behind the counter.
