Canna-Caramel: Salted Caramel Edibles Recipe

When it comes to cannabis edibles, not too many people have heard of canna-caramel…

However, it is a creative and different way to make your cannabis edibles. They are quite simple to make and delicious. Additionally, they are easy to add to your favorite cookie, brownie, or any other recipe of your choice.

The first step in making canna-caramel is to make cannabutter. There are many routes for making cannabis-infused caramels. This recipe is our personal recommendation.

It usually takes around 30 minutes to make (not including time needed to make cannabutter).

#1.) Place the cannabutter into a saucepan and put on medium heat. A smaller saucepan is doable, although you might prefer a little more space to stir. Having more space to work with will be beneficial for you.

#2.) After the butter has melted, add the brown sugar and the salt to the saucepan until it is smoothened out.

#3.) Add the corn syrup. You can substitute corn syrup for other similar substances, but it may not be as appealing taste wise.

#4.) Stir the sweetened condensed milk into the mixture. This is where things could get messy. Continue to cook the mixture on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture becomes firm. It takes anywhere from 12 to 15 minutes. The end product becomes firmer as it cooks.

#5.) Line the 9×13″ pan with parchment paper. Most caramel recipes will tell you to oil the pan to make it easier to extract the caramel. Although you might find it much easier to extract the caramel once it cools down by covering the pan with wax paper.

#6.) After you reach the desired firmness of the saucepan, turn off the stove.

#7.) Add the vanilla extract and stir well.

#8.) Place it in a parchment paper lined pan. Let it cool. Once cooled, you’ll have a big slab of canna-caramel.

#9.) Cut into pieces according to your preference and enjoy!
